Project Prep

Understandably, our client wanted to get the property open and operational as quickly as possible. This meant they had plenty of tradesmen and contractors on site throughout the day. So, to avoid disruption and maximise efficiency, our team operated outside of regular hours.

The client had already completed on-site welding and initial filling but needed our highly skilled operatives to complete the advanced preparation and deliver the perfect finish.

Carrying out the project

Before we began spraying, we deployed our state-of-the-art air scrubbers and extraction units. The air scrubbers would capture dust and pollutants released by our sprayers, and the extraction units would remove dirty air from within the property, creating a much safer environment for everyone on-site.

We applied a high-build primer before painting to ensure optimal adhesion and durability. Once ready, we began coating the staircase using a 2K polyurethane system. As previously mentioned, our clients opted for RAL 5003 blue, creating a really striking finish, as you can see from the photos below.

Having completed plenty of staircase spraying projects in the past (including stair spindles in Buckingham Palace!), we were able to wrap up this project on a short timeline and to the highest standard. Our client is delighted with the end result, and we can’t wait to see the full property when it’s ready to open its doors.
